We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person who is well organised, self-confident and motivated, with good inter-personal and communication skills and enjoys working with young people.


As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise classes when a teacher is absent, compile and maintain pastoral data for pupils, create displays around school, undertake general administrative duties and accompany staff and students on educational visits.


  • Have a minimum of two years' experience of working with children (either paid or unpaid capacity) in an education setting.
  • Have excellent organisational skills.
  • Have sound IT skills.
The school received its second 'Good' from Ofsted in June 2018, but does in fact have many outstanding features.

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment so facilities are state of the art. The school is also to benefit from the development of a floodlit FA standard 3G football pitch.

Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M).

It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
