Mechanical Design Engineer, Witney, £30,000pa - £35,000pa plus benefits:

An award-winning specialist manufacturing firm based in the Witney area is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a small talented Design Team who design components, sub-systems and assemblies for high-tech scientific instrumentation and systems.

This role would perfectly suit a Mechanical Engineering graduate with 2-5 years Design Engineering experience, ideally within a high-tech / low-volume specialist manufacturer.


The role:
With an exciting remit, designing fit-for-purpose components, sub-systems and assemblies of instrumentation and systems. You will provide mechanical input into ongoing projects to develop new products as well as improving existing ones. You will create CADconcepts, parts and assemblies in line with functional requirements, geometric tolerances, manufacturing techniques and internal standards.

About you:


The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be educated to degree level in a mechanical engineering or physics related degree.

You will have several years industry experience, ideally working within a high-tech / low volume manufacturer within amechanical design engineering or CAD role.

Ideally you will be a competent user 3D CAD software, ideally ProE CREO and Windchill PDM.

You will have an understanding and awareness of manufacturing techniques and processes as well as Materials Resource Planning(MRP) and Engineering Change Request processes.

A broad knowledge of engineering and materials technology is highly desirable. You will understand manufacturing best practice and design for manufacture.
The salary on offer is £30,000pa - £35,000pa plus 25 days holiday, pension and private medical.
