    Description

    Job Title: Materials Handler

    About the Role:

    This is a contract position based in a busy engineering department in Crewe. The successful candidate will work mainly on an FLT truck, with a significant amount of manual handling involved.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mainly operate an FLT truck but also perform manual handling tasks
    • Assist with material supply and picking
    • Manage stock control and rotation
    • Work effectively within a small team and independently

    Requirements:

    • Good knowledge of material supply and stock control systems
    • Experience in picking and operating an FLT truck with Counterbalance and Reach license
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

    Person Profile:

    • Previous experience in a similar role in heavy industry or engineering stores
    • Up-to-date Counterbalance license
    • Ability to work well in a team and manage workload independently
