Reed Procurement are delighted to be partnering with a leading Engineering company based in Newcastle to recruit for the role of Buyer.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days at home and 2 in the Newcastle based office.

  • Temp 6 month contract

The Role:

  • Procurement of Engineering items
  • Coordinate the ordering and delivery of Engineering items
  • Using the MRP system
  • Select and agree appropriate suppliers T&C's
  • Communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Engineers, Planners, Freight Forwarders etc
  • Analyse, assess and report information

The Person:

  • Proven Buying track record
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience using ERP / MRP system
  • Time management and be able to prioritise workload
  • Effective, productive and works to KPI measurement in area
  • Relevant professional qualification (MCIPS) desirable
  • Experience working in an Oil and Gas Supply Chain environment
