Production Operator

Summary:
Experienced Production Operator to help with the handling, preparing, and operating in a production environments. You will be trained to be proficient in operating various equipment, accurate data entry, and maintaining an organised workspace. Committed to contributing to helping run the production line running and supporting overall production processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Skillfully operate shrink wrap machines to securely wrap pallets of finished products.
  • Utilize banding machines adeptly to strap finished products, ensuring secure transportation.
  • Safely operate powered pump trucks for efficient material transportation.
  • Proficiently handle 'Flexi' forklifts for effective material handling, with a willingness to undergo training if required.
  • Prepare materials promptly for production lines, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Pick necessary materials from stock or warehouse to fulfil production requirements.
  • Enter and manage data in the MRP system, including MRP and Microsoft Navigate.
  • Complete essential paperwork to accurately adjust stock levels and maintain documentation.
  • Collect and responsibly dispose of waste products from production areas, adhering to recycling guidelines.
  • Manage returns of raw materials, including label generation and attachment.
  • Perform production line cleaning and setup when trained and as needed.
  • Utilize basic mathematical skills to support accurate inventory tracking.

Requirements:


  • High level of attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in operating shrink wrap and banding machines for secure packaging.
  • Skilled in using powered pump trucks; possession of a forklift license preferred.
  • Proficient in computer literacy for accurate data entry and MRP system usage.
  • Familiarity with Pal MRP (Microsoft Navigate) is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills for seamless team collaboration.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials as required.
  • Commitment to adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Basic mathematical skills to support precise inventory calculations.

Salary:
£11.00-£12.84 per hour
