WHAT TO EXPECT
The Electronic Drive Unit (EDU) factory is the mechanism by which we supply the prototype units to the business for testing, to support the development of our future commodities.
This role will support the various teams involved across the Powertrain test function in the delivery of these, across multiple areas.
This role will enable the factory to maximise its efficiency, ensuring that we continue to be able to produce our prototype units on time & quality to the plans cascaded via our customer base.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Responsible to leading the team in the support of the end to end EDU factory within EO10.
- Lead and delegate to the cross factory team as required
- Responsible for the key KPIs of the factory and highlighting disconnects from them
- Single point of contact for engineering customers
- Lead priority calls with in the factory
- Utilise standardised project management tools to support a smooth project delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working on areas throughout the factory
- Ensure alignment to best practises as well as supporting areas adoption/implantation of new processes
- Aid in the prioritization of initiatives to improve efficiencies across the teams
- Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learnt across the Factory
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
- Previous experience of working in the Project Support role in a large company/team
- Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
- Good understanding of project management principles
- Proficient communication and organisational skills
- Proven ability of problem solving
