Reed HR are working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Central London to recruit a Head of Talent Development on a full-time, fixed term contract for 23-months.

Salary circa £58,000 - £69,000 per annum.

This job operates on the hybrid working modelwith some days worked in the office and the rest from home each week.

Some of the roles and responsibilities of this job are as follows:

  • Work with Managers and Stakeholders to develop career pathways for all professions across the business.
  • Create a development framework for succession planning with the aim of building a talent pipeline with clear objectives
  • Develop a blended programme of L&D initiatives ensuring options for development are clear and accessible to managers and employees.
  • Design and deliver in house learning workshops to support the development of leadership and management skills
  • Monitor delivery plans for all talent and skills activities ensuring they are on track, evaluating progress and outcomes with the aim of a positive return on investment.
  • Act as the HR / L&D partner in the delivery of a proactive, business focussed HR partnering service, supporting organisational change where required
  • Support with any adhoc projects as required by the Line Manager


This is a professional and demanding Head of Talent Development vacancy, that is very hands on and Learning and development focussed.

To be successful, it is essential that you have experience with leading, managing and delivering successful talent and skillsdevelopment strategies, as well as partnering with senior leaders on a HR strategy.
