This is a HR role that will put you at the centre of it all


You will be part of an HR function that is pivotal to the business with the HR strategy aligned to the business objectives.

You partner and work alongside the senior management population, and certainly won't be in an HR bubble.

Their style of HR is focused on coaching and guiding managers. They are visible in the business and have a strong focus in areas of Engagement, Retention and Talent.


As an organisation they are financially strong, with several large sites across the UK, with plans to open an additional site early next year.

You will be managing 4 HR Managers. They are each responsible for their own locations and small teams.

There are 2 distinct populations:
an industrial and a smaller corporate population in Hemel where the role will be based.


You will take ownership of several pivotal HR projects - currently there are OD projects and an ongoing Diversity, Inclusion and Equity project.

You will work with the HRD in shaping the strategy and implementing this across the business.

As a team they are open, informal in their approach and have a strong team ethic.

People we have placed within their HR team have always fed back positively on how they have been welcomed and made to feel valued.

They manage by empowering, and measure onoutputs not on log in and log off times.

They also fully embraced agile / hybrid working even before the pandemic.

You will be able to balance strategic HR with operational.

You will be comfortable with coaching stakeholders and offering commercial value to the people agenda. Ideally will have supported large industrial / unionised populations (here they are c3500) or at least sizable multi-site organisations.

Even though the role comes with a generous car allowance, travel will be infrequent.

The recruitment process will be 2 stages. First will be an informal Teams call and the second will be face to face.

Salary has wide range with their mid-point c£80,000.

In addition there is a car allowance of £7140.

A bonus of 15%.
