    The Opportunity

    The Risk Analyst role will play a key part in providing oversight, assurance and insight into the management of technology risks, controls and related change programmes. The role will also support delivery of the Risk strategy by implementing the second line operating model to oversee technology risk management.

    • Executing 2nd Line Risk oversight activities across technology to ensure adequate review and challenge.
    • Partner with the Technology team to help develop a comprehensive view of Aldermore's technology risk profile and risk management maturity.
    • Apply your knowledge of technology processes, controls and control testing to recommend enhancements and new controls to support a strong control environment.
    • Identify technology risk insights and provide input into Risk governance reporting to Technology and Cyber Risk Forums, Executive and Board level risk reporting.
    • Lead engagement with Technology change programmes to provide ongoing oversight of both project delivery risk and delivered operational risks.
    • Support the Head of Risk to define and implement an ongoing operating model to oversee technology risks.

    Your Day

    • Ability to provide challenge at all levels of the organisation, using subject matter expertise and experience as leverage to ensure the best outcome for Aldermore.
    • Experienced subject matter expertise in technology risk management within financial services, with experience of working within risk management or control functions across the three lines of defence.
    • Broad exposure to related disciplines within Risk, such as cyber, data, change, and awareness of market best practice in risk management.
    • Understanding of good governance practices and principles of control environment design and operation.
    • Effective communicator, sharing insight that translates technical concepts into clear and understandable language.
