Court of Protection Solicitor (NQ - 2 Years PQE)

South Manchester - Hybrid
Due to our client's growth and expansion, we are looking for a talented Court of Protection Solicitor to join our award-winning law firm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well-established law firm that offers excellent training and career prospects.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a mixed caseload of deputy administration cases including clients with complex needs and high value litigation awards.
- Working closely with clients who lack capacity together with family members and often as part of an MDT.
- Take instructions from the client and liaising with the deputy in order to progress best interest's decisions in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act.
- Providing advice on the applicable law, procedures and legal issues relating to the client's case.
- Draft documents, letters, court documentation and contracts tailored to the client's individual needs.
- Negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure the agreed objectives.
- Keep the client informed on the progress of their case, including funding, insurance arrangements, ongoing costs, issues, and money held in client account.
- Instruct Counsel and experts to provide advice and representation on the client's case.
- Comply with all Court and tribunal deadlines.
- Represent clients in tribunals and in Courts where required.
- Supervise and delegate work to Court of Protection administrators as well as paralegals as appropriate.
- Liaise with Costs Draftsmen.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Admitted to the Law Society roll of solicitors.
- No ongoing regulatory investigations or regulatory restrictions arising from your work for solicitors' firms.
- No unspent criminal convictions or any convictions at all for dishonesty.
