Job description

  • Oxford City Council is recruiting an Arboricultural Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of tree care within the Council's property portfolio. Maintaining a robust and healthy tree population that is safe and diverse, ensuring that tree management issues are dealt with appropriately, in the best interest of the trees and the Council, in line with Council policy.
  • Working with Oxford Direct Services, you will be responsible for making sure trees are managed, and maintained according to the agreed programme, which you will have developed based on industry best practice, and in line with council objectives.
  • You will need to be selfmotivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and be an effective communicator, possess negotiation and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, partners and external agencies both orally and in writing, including the compilation of reports.
