Excelcare operate a busy and
thriving Homecare Division based in Tower Hamlets supporting a large number of service users in their own homes every day.

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join the well-established and hard working team as their
Administration Assistant.

You would work with the senior team to support them and the Homecare Administrator with day to day responsibilities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office and wider business.

You will be a key team member in the ongoing success of this Homecare operation.


What you can expect as the Administration Assistant:


  • Salary: £22,000 per annum:

8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday

About the role:


  • To assist with a variety of office duties e.g. general filing, typing, photocopying, organising and maintaining the office.
  • To assist in advertising vacancies and support in the recruitment process of new Homecare team members.
  • To ensure all communication is recorded and stored appropriately and employee records as well as service user records are accurate and up to date as per our policies and procedures.
  • Update and maintain data and reports for example the Annual Leave Planner, Sickness Records, Daily Log Sheets and Contact information are accurate and up to date
  • Operate IT, financial and administrative systems
  • To assist in reviews of all Homecare care team induction and mandatory training needs on a regular basis
  • To maintain effective links and communication with local authority staff, carers, service users, relatives and other relevant individuals
  • To assist with the administration of printing and checking carers weekly rotas to ensure they are aware of all service users they will visit on a daily basis
  • To assist the Branch Operations Manager in ensuring that all quality standards, complaints and comments are dealt with promptly and to record and report any complaints/ concerns in line with company policy.
  • To ensure, where appropriate, that all statutory requirements for the service delivery are adhered to e.g. health and safety, moving and handling

What we are looking for from you:

  • GCSE's in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a care setting and an understanding of what 'outstanding' care looks like and the level of service we need to offer our service users
  • Good IT skills including the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Minute Taking skill would be desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills and good verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
