Overview:

Element are looking for a committed, talented, and enthusiastic

Trainee Workshop Operative to join our dynamic team. Your role will involve working on various machines, including saws, and operating heavy equipment like forklifts and cranes. You will also be using manual tools to carry out tasks. This position will offer ample guidance and training, and is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to develop their skills in a hands-on, technical environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Assisting with the operation of machinery such as saws and other workshop equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Driving and managing forklift operations, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to
  • Assisting in crane operation, under guidance, in a safe and controlled manner
  • Using manual tools correctly and maintaining them, ensuring their efficacy and longevity
  • Complying with all safety rules and guidelines of the workshop to prevent jobrelated accidents
  • Working within a team atmosphere to meet workshop targets in a timely manner
  • Assisting other team members whenever necessary or as directed by the supervisor
  • Participating in all training events provided to enhance skills, safety knowledge, and efficiency

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Prior experience in a workshop setting is not a requirement but is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a workshop environment
  • Must be physically capable of operating a variety of machinery
  • Basic forklift and crane operation knowledge is a plus; training will be provided
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
