This recognisable, established charity are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis in this newly created role Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing a teamwhilst holding key oversight of the entire transactional finance function.
The key duties of this Financial Accountant are as follows:
- Manage a small team of Finance Officers, providing guidance and development opportunities to help them progress in their careers.
- Be at the forefront of the review and establishment of more robust transactional processes, with the interest of enhancing working efficiencies.
- Full responsibility for producing the trial balance at year end and deputise for the line manager in the production of the statutory accounts.
- Play a leading role in the preparation of VAT returns and check both payrolls for accuracy in a timely fashion.
- Act as a key point of contact for the External Auditors, preparing the sample files and responding to queries as required.
This is a brilliant role for ad experienced transactional finance professional who is excited at the prosect of shaping the future financial architecture of an organisation and putting their own stamp on a role.
This role will officially be based out ofthe charity's head office in central London, but opportunities to work from home will be on offer for up to two days per week.
- Partqualified and be actively studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification.
- A background managing a transactional finance function and the month end close process.
- Strong reconciliations and trial balance experience.
- Ideally, experience managing a small team, but this is by no means essential.
- An ambitious flare, drive to improve processes and brilliant communication skills.
