About the role:


We are looking to recruit a Team Leader (Facilities) who will report to the Facilities Manager within the Housing and Property Services team based at The Civic Centre.

You will have responsibility for managing the effective planning and delivery of workplaceand facilities services; incorporating the administrative and public building cleaning roles to meet the Councils needs and delivers value for money.

A few more aspects of the role are as follows:


  • Lead the Soft Facilities Management and Cleaning Team's and prepare, monitor
- and control the soft facilities projects/budgets

  • Assist in the development of a centralised delivery model for Facilities Management
  • Supervise and direct staff in the Facilities and

Cleaning Team:

Post directly responsible for employees (number of workers): 30


Main Accountabilities:


  • Delivery of the Soft Facilities Management services
  • Delivery of the Cleaning services
  • Contract and Staff management
  • Performance monitoring and customer care
  • You will have experience of devising and delivering policies and procedures, along with extensive experience of building cleaning services in a facilities management role.
  • You will have clear evidence of leadership and managerial skills and have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • You will also be required to have an understanding of procurement methods and effective project management skills.
