Our client is looking for an experienced DoLS Coordinator.

To coordinate the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process for each service-user, including maintaining an

effective overview. To be the first point of contact, receive and screen incoming referrals according to

operational procedures and ensure they are processed in a timely manner. To provide advice and guidance

to partner agencies and Adult Social Care colleagues with respect to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards,

seeking support from Best Interests Assessors / Supervisor as appropriate. To provide initial screening and

quality assurance of reports submitted by Best Interests Assessors and Section 12 Approved Doctors.

Ability to effectively prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to recognise service priorities and meet performance targets and deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in writing
A high level of relational and interpersonal skills
Ability to use initiative and work independently
Ability to work as part of a team and understand the work boundaries of the role
Ability to recognise when to seek support and guidance from others
IT skills and ability to use Social Care information management systems
Demonstrate a positive attitude to work and evidence of proactive working to achieve the

aims and targets of the team.
