A successful, dynamic, growing and industry leading organisation within the third sector have exclusively appointed Reed Lancaster & Cumbria to add a business critical head into their Sales & Marketing function with a Head Office in Barrow. (Hybridworking available)


The role is available due to extensive growth of the business and it is vital for the continued expansion of the company.

You will work alongside the Marketing Manager and Commercial Director and be part of a wider marketing team however work autonomously.


Your duties will include -

  • Researching organisations within specific assigned sectors to identify quality prospects and profile the customer
  • Research what they are currently receiving from their current provider. Comparing this to the offerings and USP's of the business to enable you to create engaging and relevant marketing collateral as a first point of call.
  • Design, implement and manage compelling marketing campaigns, turning our features into benefits tailored to the customer.
You will do this across a variety of mediums, including:


  • Digital ads, particulary Linkedin
  • Landing pages and leadgen downloads
  • Content marketing on blogs and newsletters
  • Keep abreast of a small nationwide network of competitors ensuring you are fully aware of their offerings
  • Attend exhibitions to market our business

You will be responsible for the sales process from start to finish from initial contact, researching their current provider and what they are receiving, creating relevant marketing to highlight what you can offer, client meetings, presentations toconversion. This process can range from 3 months to sometimes for the larger organisations upwards of 18 months. The organisation offer a unique service and products with only a small selection of competitors however with a huge nationwide requirement fortheir offering. So although the role is a sales based position, we are looking for a relationship builder. Someone with a soft approach to nurturing long term relationships and is used to a longer sales cycle. Ideally you will also have experience of creatingmarketing collateral and be able to analyse campaign performance (This will be alongside the Marketing function)
