Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a Development Planner to join a UK leading independent renewable energy company based in the Scottish Lowlands

My client develops, owns, and operates wind, hydro, and solar power projects across the UK, with a vision of an economy powered entirely by renewable energy.

Their development portfolio includes both small and large wind projects, run of river hydro schemesand solar farms.

They are currently preparing to build out their first solar farm which will be co-located with an existing wind asset.

My client is now seeking to expand their development team capacity by appointing a number of new Development Managers to take forward specific wind, hydro, solar projects in the UK.

There will also be a focus on other renewable energy technologies and projectdevelopment opportunities.

Duties will include the following:

Project management, with a high degree of responsibility for budget and decision making.
Play a significant role in decision making at senior level with ready access to the CEO and Directors.
Liaise and negotiate with planning authorities, statutory consultees, stakeholder groups and the public.
Establish and lead project teams, containing both internal and external staff.
Motivate and guide team to achieve successful and efficient project delivery.
Strong interpersonal communications and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude to work and problem solving.
Ability to prioritise work, set and meet targets and manage time effectively.
Knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector is essential.
