This Ofsted "Good" school boasts fantastic facilities and has a brilliant, positive culture where students are "highly mature and motivated" (Ofsted, Learning Support Assistants are vital to the school to support students with SEN to enable these students and help remove any barriers to their learning.


The school requires a Learning Support Assistant with experience in supporting students with various forms of SEN such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

The students are very capable but often need support understanding the class task, keeping them focused and/or providing behavioural/emotional support.

Desirable Learning Support Assistants will have previous experience working with children with SEN in both 1:1 and group settings.

If you are successful, the role will begin as a temporary role for the first 12-14 weeks. A permanent position will be available if you perform well


There is a highly competitive rate of pay which is £375 - £400 per week, depending on experience for working hours of 9am-4pm.

Working days are Monday-Friday, term-time only. To start in April 2023.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with the classroom teacher and carry out delegated tasks.
  • Work with the teacher to monitor the progress of students and provide support where required.
  • Support SEN students on a 1:1 basis but also in small groups.
  • Liaise with the SENCO/Inclusion manager to deliver SEN provision.
  • Must have experience of working in a school in the past two years.
  • Must have experience working with students with SEN.
  • Must have or be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS (costs £52.20) and must be registered on the update service (£13 a year).
  • Advantageous to have previous tutoring/mentoring experience.

£75.00-£80.00 per day
