TQR are looking for an Electrical Technician to join a great business in the Cullumpton Devon area.

What will you get?
Salary of £33,500

20 days holiday plus bank holidays with an extra days holiday for every complete year of service.
1 in 4 call out rota, which if needed you will get £11 per call out in addition to a min of 3.5 hours paid overtime on the Saturday of time and a half and double pay on a Sunday.

What will you be doing?

Completing all daily checks of Electrical/Instrument equipment and report findings and respond to machine breakdowns within a designated area of responsibility, in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.

What will you need to do this role?
Completing daily checks of Electrical/Instrument equipment and report findings.

Responding to machine breakdowns in a timely and professional fashion.
Maintaining all Electrical, Instrument, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment and systems e.g.

AC and DC motor starters

AC and DC drives
AC and DC motors
PLC's
Distributed control system
Quality control system
High voltage systems (>1000v)
Process control
Flow, Pressure and Level transmitters
Pneumatic valves, motors and systems
Hydraulic valves, motors, pumps and systems
Cranes and Hoists
Lighting
Electrical Power
CCTV

Identifying equipment needing replacement or improvement.

Assisting with projects and installing Electrical, Instrument, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment as per instructions.
Assisting with the creation and updating of Electrical, Instrument, Pneumatic and Hydraulic documentation and schematics.
Ensuring the safety of plant and personnel within relevant areas meeting all aspects of the relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Must adhere to all Health and Safety standards and regulations, PPE requirements at all times and make certain familiar with these
Have a legal responsibility under Section 7 and 8 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions

Extras
Relevant industry certification and accreditation i.e., NVQ, BTEC, HNC, HND etc. in Electrical engineering.
