Academic Services Officer (Academic Quality Assurance)

FTE: 1.0 fte (working 37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) until 31/08/2024
Salary: UH6 £30,619 to 33,348 pa with a potential to progress to £36,333 pa on achieving designated skills and experience
Location: MacLaurin Building, de Havilland Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Working closely with colleagues from the Centre of Academic Quality Assurance and Academic Schools, this role provides you with an exciting opportunity to play a key part coordinating and supporting arrangements for validation and review activities linked to the development of the University's academic portfolio.
  • You will be required to provide an excellent administrative, organisational, and advisory service and you will have administrative oversight of the production and approval of prime legal and academic documents linked to new developments. You will also have responsibilities to maintain data relating to courses and curriculum using appropriate systems.

Skill and experience required

  • You will already have substantial proven administrative experience, ideally within an HEI, along with proficiency and experience in IT across the range of Microsoft products including databases, spreadsheets and wordprocessing.
  • You will be able to demonstrate that you have experience of managing a range of demands, and the ability to work under pressure, preferably within a complex and dynamic organisation. You should be highly organised, with a good attention to detail and the ability to create successful working relationships with a wide range of people.

Qualifications required
