The Logistics Partner Solutions team is part of the newly formed Industrial Operations Strategy & Performance function.

As part of the Value Chain Strategy department, we play a crucial role in the success of Jaguar Land Rovers Supply Chain by providing new solutions via logistics partnerships within the end-to-end supply chain for all critical components, enabling proactive risk mitigation and building resilience to support the delivery of vehicle build plans.


Combining an in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain and Purchasing principles, excellent communication & engagement skills and a positive, highly motivated mindset with a passion for leading transformative change the team aims to deliver a step-change in JLR's Supply Chain operations.

We will engage with stakeholders to find new ways of securing capacity and moving critical commodities through the supplier's supply chains ensuring security of supply and visibility throughout.


WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Assessing risk and appropriate mitigations within supplier's supply chain to then recommend the appropriate solution
  • Lead engagement with a portfolio of suppliers (Tier 1 and beyond) to project manage and implement chosen solutions
  • Support Purchasing to determine the best solutions and advise how they can be implemented ensuring lessons learnt from previous implementations are taken forward to future sourcing and contracting decisions
  • Working with logistics partners and sub tier suppliers to ensure smooth and on time implementation project delivery
  • Creation and delivery of an internal and external engagement strategy to support your portfolio
  • Ensuring robust data collection for supplier's supply chain structures and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure a robust (BOM) alignment between suppliers and JLR systems
  • Working as part of a varied delivery team each with their own portfolio, supporting each other and sharing best practices
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing across all levels of the organisation

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Knowledge and experience of complex supply chains (multitier), including key issues and challenges such as globalisation, product and process digitisation, drivers of supply chain risk, supply chain strategy development to build resilience.
  • Experience in creating and delivering project/implementation plans and strategies across multiple suppliers with multistakeholder engagement
  • Experience of change management and delivering transformational change projects for process, systems and people
  • Has the tenacity, drive and perseverance, to create and deliver strategies in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Disciplined in planning and managing interactions with internal partners and suppliers in order to maximize the value of those interactions and relationships
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate and present effectively with key stakeholders to influence crossfunctional alignment
  • Capable of negotiating and managing difficult conversations to embed the required changes to alter existing ways of working
  • Excellent comprehension of data and analytics using multiple sources of data
  • Intermediate to advance competency in Microsoft Excel
