About us:

  • The Family Hub programme has been developing since Feb 2022 with three family hubs to be fully operating by Jan 2024. To date a focus has been on getting programme team in place, development of delivery plan for the DFE and setting up outcomes and data recording. Alongside this, work has been undertaken to develop a digital site for families and a range of commissioned services has been put in place. This work is funded by the Start for Life grant.
  • Family Hubs is a pivotal programme it is shaping the way the system delivers together for our children and families, and it allows us to improve our Best Chance Strategy outcomes. It has lots of interest from our local elected Members and from the DfE and DHSC. It is the sustainable model for working with families which all agencies in Barking and Dagenham have coalesced behind, and we need to make sure it is supported to thrive.
