Job Title:

Finance Assistant**New role - The major focus of this role is to ensure the finance ledgers are kept up to date and the department runs efficiency You will be part of the Finance / Admin team working in a very busy office.

You will be the main contact for all our supplier, also providing daily support to sales invoicing / credit control, payroll and general ledger.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Processing the daily purchase / sales orders.
  • Carrying out the daily purchase / sales invoice processing.
  • Bimonthly payment runs.
  • Staff expenses and credit card expenses.
  • Fuel and vehicle expenses
  • Daily bank postings funds paid to suppliers.
  • Day to day phone calls internal and external.
  • Providing support and cover for finance function including payroll.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by the line manager from time to time.

Knowledge and Experience:


You should have experience in at least 3 out 4:

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger & Credit Control
  • Payroll
  • General ledger
  • Journals / bank recons / chart of accounts
  • Sage 50 accounting and payroll. Excel and Microsoft packages
  • Supplier / Customers and internal support.
  • 2+ years' experience working in a busy accounts office.
  • Promote a positive image of the Company.
  • Actively contribute to maintenance of a professional and welcoming environment
