About the Role

Base Location:
Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Cardiff, Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.

Salary:
£28,300 - £42,500 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As HR Specialist you'll support the effective delivery of the programme for all graduates across SSE Group business units including alumni graduates in years 3-5.

The programme is integral to SSE's strategic priorities of developing high quality and diverse future skills and helping the organisation strive toward a high-performance culture.

This is an exciting role dealing with the complexity of dynamic and fast-moving business areas, which requires tenacity and adaptability to meet changing business and academic needs.


The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Scheduling and monitoring the graduate programme to ensure it is compliant and maintains existing professional charterships/accreditations and delivers future accreditations.
  • Growing and introducing new professional accreditations for all programmes and providing continued support, monitoring and evaluation of graduates throughout the programme, and into years 3
  • Providing analytical capability to move the programme forward with predictive analysis, proactively identifying trends in graduate performance data and associated root cause to gain useful insight for the graduate programme.
  • Benchmarking SSE's graduate programme against the best in industry and use benchmarking data and outputs to drive continuous improvement, ensuring that SSE is recognised as a top employer for graduates.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, forging and maintaining relationships with academic institutions, STEM providers, business leads, and the graduate team.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

  • Experience in a similar role, such as early careers or STEM, with an understanding of learning and development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional accreditations across the UK and ROI, and interested in keeping abreast of industry trends and best practice.
  • A selfstarter who can work autonomously, delivering projects from beginning to end.
  • Experience of data analytics, data visualisation, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge at a senior level.
