So Energy was created in 2015 because we knew energy suppliers could be better. Since then, we've grown rapidly but sustainably, with 300,000+ customers and over 300 So Energists. But, we're not done.

We're on the road to a million customers by the end of 2026 and, thanks to our recent merger with ESB Energy, we're well on the way.

The Role:


Head of Sales at SO ENERGY:

What you'll be getting up to:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and manage sales operating budgets
  • Build a bestinclass customer
- centric sales teams

  • Lead the design and implementation of a sales programmes to achieve customer acquisition and retention targets in a competitive marke
  • Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to achieve business objectives and target market share
  • Manage acquisition cost across all channels direct, indirect and digital sales
  • Deploy customer insights, competitor and market analysis to support the development and implement of sales plans to differentiate So Energy in a competitive market
  • Product detailed Sales and Customer acquisition reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Direct the sales forecasting activities and set performance goals
  • Develop strong relationships with our Third party representatives
  • Look beyond the traditional customer acquisition streams to develop a sales strategy like no other in the market
  • Work crossfunctionally with the wider business including Product and Customer Operations to deliver a seamless end to end journey for the customer.

This role will be a great fit if:

  • Proven B2C sales experience is essential, with knowledge of the UK energy markets a distinct advantage
  • Track record in delivering successful results utilising an omnichannel sales strategy
  • Understand key trends in the market
  • Proven ability to build and manage successful sales teams that are consumer focussed
  • Financial & commercial acumen
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
