Our client a leading council are seeking an advanced social work practitioner The postholder will work collaboratively with staff across the structure to identify existing gaps and opportunities related to social work professional practice, and to ensure and contribute to the development of excellent social work practice.
Holding a portfolio of priorities linked to the directorate's vision / strategy this will include involvement in the development of quality assurance and audit mechanisms, disseminating and embedding best practice and lessons learnt and proactively providing educational and practice development activities to staff.
- Carrying out risk assessments in complex cases
- Experience of multiagency working
- Undertaking safeguarding investigations
- Managing/mentoring staff or students where responsibility for the supervision, direction, coordination, training and development of staff can be evidenced
- To proactively provide workshop facilitation, educational opportunities, and other practice development activities. To ensure an appropriate number of social work staff are working towards post qualification awards and to ensure the authority can meet its statutory duties.
