Description

What will the apprentice be doing on site: This is a varied role working alongside Managers, Supervisors and other Site Administrators in one of the UK's leading construction contractors, learning all aspects of Business Administration within the construction industry. Your role will span a variety of responsibilities including Office Management, Skills Coordination and PA, Health & Safety, Document Control and Accounts.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining the Project filing system.
  • Preparing documents for storage or
archiving.

  • Ordering and costings of site
consumables.

  • Updating noticeboards.
  • Uploading of all new project
information to the relevant systems
including Datascope facial scanning
for new starters and and Smartwaste
for environmental monitoring.

  • Assisting with preparation of contract
folders (including printing.)

  • Managing the data input and ensuring
it is up to date and accurate.

  • Quality checking of all document at
the first stage of the workflows for
compliance.

  • Maintaining site record sheets.
  • Assisting with payroll.
  • Carrying out reception duties as
required including answering the
telephone, and meeting and greeting
visitors.

  • Taking messages.
  • Arranging meetings, updating
meeting room calendar and where
required, attending meetings,
conferences and project team
activities.

  • Organising mangers' diaries.
  • Typing and word processing various
and electronic information.

  • Maintaining a supply of printed Health
& Safety forms for the site team to use.

  • Collating and filing of weekly 'Friday
Packs' from trade contractors (Health
& Safety Documents)

  • Retrieving data for project team.
  • General office duties such as filing,
scanning, printing and photocopying.

  • Processing invoices.
  • Receiving and collating information
generated through each department

  • Overseeing and administering site
deliveries.

Are there restrictions:

Applicants will only be considered from within a 20 mile radius of the location due to social value requirements.


The apprentice will need:
To be able to work under pressure and deal with competing deadlines.
A methodical and accurate approach to work tasks.
Good IT skills including in Microsoft packages including Word & Excel.
Good communication skills.
Excellent time keeping.
Ability to prioritise work and meet dea
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organised and efficient administration skills

Qualifications Required:
