Talent Advisor

Reports to:
People Manager/Head of People

Location:
Huddersfield or Leeds (some travel between sites maybe required)


Salary:
Up to £40k DOE


Our well established, forward thinking and flexible client have undergone considerable growth and therefore have a newly created position of Talent Advisor that they are looking to recruit.

Working with the People team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, advising and guiding recruiting managers on the best strategy for recruitment campaigns and coaching them on recruitment and onboarding best practice.

You will use your experience of using a range of media channels to ensure they attract great talent. Continually reviewing and enhancing the talent attraction processes.


Responsibilities

  • Advise and guide recruiting managers on the best strategy for recruitment campaigns and coach hiring managers on recruitment and onboarding best practice
  • Project Management of recruitment campaigns utilising the HR system (ATS)
  • Utilise a range of media channels to ensure optimal reach into the talent marketplace
  • Upload and maintain vacancy job postings and advertisements including drafting of job adverts, liaising with recruitment agencies
  • Ensure job adverts are written in line with our brand and style guidelines
  • Continually review and enhance talent attraction processes, including working with the Marketing Team to ensure our careers website is up to date and informative, attending networking events, recruitment fairs and build relationships with educational institutions
  • Management of recruitment agency relationships and preferred suppliers list (PSL)
  • Identify and build talent pools
  • Manage requests for work experience or summer work, liaising with Department Heads/Team Managers as necessary
  • Management of apprentice and graduate programmes
  • Ensure all relevant digital paperwork is stored correctly and managed in line with GDPR requirements
  • Provide management information reports as requested
  • Additional duties within the People team as required
  • Manage annual performance and training requirements in line with Lexcel annual review processes
  • Any other duties which from time to time are required by the company

Skills required

Essential

  • CIPD level 5 or
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office
  • Up to knowledge of recruitment attraction methods, eg using job boards and LinkedIn
  • Experience of interviewing, including conducting competency based interviews
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • A high level of confidentiality
  • The ability to build effective relationships with all staff in all levels of the business
  • Excellent interpersonal and customerfacing skills
  • The ability to work accurately with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to any company office location as required
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Tact and diplomacy
  • Good administrative skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team

£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
