OPEN UNIVERSITY SUPPORT TUTOR

Location:
HMP Fosse Way, Leicester


Hours:37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (possibility of some evening/weekend hours)


Apprenticeships:
Development opportunities are available


Salary:
Up to £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


Reporting To:
Deputy Education Manager (Academic)

IN SHORT**MK College Group have an exciting new opportunity for an Open University/Distance Learning Support Tutor, to join the team based at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester.

We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with students to inspire and motivate them.

You will work with your education colleagues to ensure that Open University students have access to appropriate resources and ICT as necessary.

Your work will also include liaison with the Open University.

ABOUT HMP FOSSE WAY
HMP Fosse Way is a Resettlement Prison based in the Glen Parva area of Leicester.

Opening in Spring we are now recruiting for talented and creative professionals to join the new Education team based in the prison.

We have vacancies for daytime, evenings, and weekends positions though the majority of Education will be delivered Mon-Fri between 09:00-17:00.

The prison will be operated by Serco with Milton Keynes College as their strategic education provider.


HMP Fosse Way is a new build prison and staff will benefit from working in a new prison with up to date facilities, new resources and equipment.
