Would you like to work for one of the region's leading charities as an Educational Training Lead? Are you interested in making a real difference to the lives of young people by delivering a service aimed at promoting a greater understanding of issues such as gambling and where to get help?


If your answer is yes then this is a perfect opportunity for you to utilise, you're teaching and training skills in a full time, permanent job that will provide you with real job fulfilment based in the cathedral city of Bangor, Gwynedd.

As an Education and Training Lead your responsibilities will include:

  • Running gambling awareness workshops based on best practice guidelines for professionals and young people from a variety of agencies
  • Develop opportunities to train youth professionals in gambling awareness and raise awareness of the project amongst key agencies and stakeholders
  • Promoting the Young People Gambling service by establishing connections and relationships with relevant stakeholders and groups
  • Manging your own diary, scheduling, planning, and delivering sessions for Young people and professionals in line with contact aims
  • Maintain accurate records and provide statistical information
  • Continuously developing your own knowledge and practice, participating in staff and team meetings throughout the area as required
To be successful in the Education and Training Lead, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, providing support and working with young people
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and inter agency liaison
  • Ability to design and deliver awareness education and prevention programmes
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding
  • Ability to deliver an empathetic and challenging approach to service users
  • Good IT and administration skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
  • High level of literacy and numeracy with the ability to provide reports and costed proposals
  • Current valid driving licence and ability to travel within the geographical work area as required
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable


This is a full-time permanent hybrid role with a combination of some home based and office days located in Bangor, Gwynedd, plus travelling to different sites as required.

In exchange you will receive an annual salary of £24,348 - £25,971 per annum depending on skills and experience.
