John Pye is the UK's largest auction house network, offering the biggest volume and widest variety of stock and assets to the secondary market.
Our family-owned business has been in operation for more than 50 years in the UK and 2022 has seen our first venture into Mainland Europe with the opening of our site in Spain.
Our workforce currently stands at circa 700 employees and continued growth plans are afoot.
We have an opportunity for an ER Advisor to join our HR team where you will be responsible for providing support to managers and staff within designated areas.
You will provide advice and support on a range of ER cases including disciplinary, grievance resolution, sickness absence and performance.
You will also give information on HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
In this position you will be based at our Head Office in Nottingham and provide comprehensive guidance to managers and employees alike.
Key responsibilities will include:
- The provision of generalist advice to all stakeholders across our workforce
- Supporting our Line Management, empowering them to own all relevant people practices
- Providing consistent specialist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with John Pye Policy and Process across the full breadth of ER including;
- Absence management and welfare
- AWOL, Performance, Disciplinary and Grievance
- Appeal
- Flexible Working
- Coach managers and employees on the employment life cycle processes
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording and management of ER cases
- Ad hoc HR projects as required
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a CIPD Level 5 Professional qualification or above
- Have a minimum two years' experience working at advisor level
- ER Advisory experience, a good working knowledge of theory, legislation, and best practice
- Be confident and selfassured
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exude empathy and resilience in equal measures
- Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines and excellent attention to detail
- Be a selfstarter
