Main accountabilities:


  • Within the context of a project or a tender, the One Rigid Lead is expected to coordinate, on behalf of the project team, all aspects associated with rigid pipeline engineering, including engineering input to / from fabrication and installation (constrains, limitation, envelope ) which might affect the overall engineered rigid pipeline performance as a subsystem (installed and tested as per industry / customers' requirements).

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Recommendation of the technology / most costeffective pipeline system solution to be selected to tender/project.
  • Ensuring all inplace and mechanical design aspects of the pipeline subsystem is optimised and communicated as input to a project's installation / offshore fabrication strategy on a tender
  • Dimensioning of rigid pipeline solution and infield inputs to MTO.
  • Assurance of a robust inservice design.
  • Providing Engineering inputs required for the procurement and fabrication of the rigid pipeline scope.
  • Coordination of the technical support of rigidrelated equipment as procured by project (PDM), which is responsible to ensure that all subsystem components will be delivered at Spoolbase at the planned dates.
  • Engineering support to VDT as required for a safe and efficient offshore deployment of the rigid pipeline products.
  • Interface with Client and IVBs on all Rigid Pipeline Engineering topics.
  • Ownership of engineering activities CTRs, Quality of Deliverables and Schedule.
  • During project execution, the OneRigid Lead will be accountable towards the PEM for the design and engineering of the full rigid pipeline subsystem solution, including installation engineering through the R-Lay VDT.
  • During project execution, the OneRigid Lead will be accountable towards the Rigid Package for the cost and schedule of engineering deliverables requested by the contract and required internally to pursue engineering of procured items and subcontracted services, Spool Base fabrication engineering as well as to enable the commencement in due time of procurement, subcontracting and fabrication activities associated to rigid pipelines.
  • During Tender / FEED, he / she is responsible of the Rigid Pipeline Material Take Off List.
  • During Tender / FEED, he / she is responsible of the correctness, comprehensiveness of the pipeline stalk sheets, which is developed, maintained by VDT.
  • During project execution, he / she is responsible of the correctness, comprehensiveness of the pipeline stalk sheets and Rigid Pipeline Material Take Off List, which are developed, maintained respectively by VDT / Rigid Package Delivery Manager.
  • During FEED, Tenders and Projects, he / she is responsible of the development of technical specifications for Rigid Pipelines procurement, for Liner's procurement, for Spools and Jumpers Procurement and for other Rigid Pipeline ancillaries procurement (VIV strakes, Flex-Joints, Stress-Joints, Distributed Buoyancy Modules. He/she is supported by PPG, RPIT and GSP in this effort.
  • The OneRigid Lead will be accountable thru the R-Lay VDT towards the POM for the cost and schedule of installation engineering deliverables requested by the contract and required internally to pursue engineering of procured items (installation aids) and subcontracted services (precommissioning, survey, ROV,...).. Reel Lay Installation schedule, cost, risk management, HAZOP, HAZID remain with POM or (Technical) Tender Manager
  • The OneRigid Lead will be accountable toward the Rigid Pipe Package Lead / Manager for technical support for all others part of the Rigid Pipeline Scope of Work, i.e technical support for procurement, subcontracting, assembly, fabrication and installation of the rigid pipeline scope. This include MTO, technical specification, technical bid tabulation, technical clarifications and requests associated with Jumpers and Spools fabrication.
  • The OneRigid lead will be accountable towards OneRigid for engineering On Time Delivery (OTD) and quality (GBPMS and K21). Any issue or difficulty shall be flagged for risk management, mitigation and for receiving ad hoc support.
