Concept Resourcing is pleased to be working with a growing organisation as they look to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join their busy team.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, this highly visible role will be responsible for:

  • Support and cover for the Group Purchasing Manager to ensure right products at the right time at the right price.
  • Ensure all company policies and processes are defined and adhered to.
  • Challenge and report the impact to the business on cost increases.
  • Drive and lead cost reduction workshops.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best commercial and contract terms.
  • Identify, select, and contract suppliers.
  • Support onboarding activities of new suppliers
  • Find resourcing opportunities via stakeholder engagement and data analysis.
  • Work closely with the Supplier Development Manager to manage supplier
- performance with respect to cost, quality, service, and risk.

  • Negotiate and manage NPD commercial activities across the global supply chain.
  • Conduct research to support contract and commercial negotiations.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and execute RFQ packages.
  • Carry out benchmarking and cost analysis reports.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that will generate value through increase supplier performance or capabilities.
  • Review process flows in existing supply chains to identify risks.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of working in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of global sourcing activities
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to develop inventory models to
- support a complex supply network.

  • Understanding of actions on financial, operational and Sales impact to the business.
  • Experience implementing new business processes and driving organisational changes.
  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems.
  • Project management experience.


  • Computer literate

  • Microsoft Office, ERP systems.
  • Ideally MCIPS qualified or educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline
This role will be site based 5 days per week, and there might be occasional national and international travel.

Salary depending upon experience will be between £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits
