ABOUT COMPANY AND
JOB PURPOSE


Oriens group started business in 2015 selling business aircraft in the UK and Ireland, acting as a sole distributor of Pilatus and Tecnam manufacturers for the territory.

Later the business expanded into aircraft maintenance and flight operations.

Under the stewardship of a strong CEO / owner, both businesses are growing and maturing, and now there is a need to reinforce the management and administrative skills within the business in order to take it to a new level.

The position we are recruiting for relates to Oriens Flight Operations Ltd (OFOPS), all located at Biggin Hill
Airport near Bromley in Kent.

Oriens Flight Operations Ltd is growing fast this year, which requires dedicated commercial finance support to coordinate the flight costs with recharges to the owners of the aircrafts as well as cash flows.

This role is comprised of commercial finance and bookkeeping duties listed below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collating the data for recharges to the aircraft owners
  • Control recharges to customers against costs. Make sure that all costs incurred on behalf of customers are invoiced.
  • Operating cash flow planning weekly scheduling of payments to suppliers based on scheduled flights, co
- ordination of currency balances available for scheduled payments (USD, EUR and GBP), control over of cash balances considering anticipated direct debits and credit card payments; monthly cash flow report.

  • Collecting the invoices to support credit card spend.
  • Credit cards and employees' expenses processing in the financial system (Sage)
  • Prepayments / Accruals postings and reconciliation
  • Preparing information for the budget and forecasts
  • Entering payments and receipts into financial system (Sage), Bank reconciliation
  • Backup for accountant in part of bank payments, raising customer invoices and posting supplier invoices during period of holidays.
  • Reconciling Intercompany transactions
  • Preparation of information for management accounts and analysis of monthly results including variance analysis
  • Assisting with airworthiness administration
  • Support audits if and when needed
  • Collaborate with other departments within company developing the culture of business partnering, openness and efficient communication
  • Other administrative duties as required

SKILLS AND CORE CHARACTERISTICS

  • Basic knowledge of financial accounting
  • Experience of dealing with large number of invoices efficiently
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to details
  • Strong Communication skills
4.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of relevant experience ideally within a highly customer focused environment
  • Experience in Aviation industry is a plus but not mandatory
  • AAT or studying towards technical accounting certificate is a plus but not mandatory
