As part of our ongoing development of Metrol's down-hole communications technology the Mechanical engineering department are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join one of our manufacturing teams.

Principal Duties:

  • Operate in a production cell to build high and medium volume subassemblies
  • Set up and use manufacturing jigs to aid the manufacturing processes
  • Operate a "right first time/every time" production strategy
  • Carry out subassembly tests; simple electrical and mechanical
  • Able to perform a variety of tasks

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Handling small, high value, components in high volume in an engineering environment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to follow documented processes and follow verbal instructions
  • Experience within an electronic/mechanical manufacturing environment and techniques
  • Attention to detail and working within a team to produce quality of workmanship in the timescales required
  • Team player with good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collating and presenting production and test data

Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
Location

Metrol Technology Limited, Blandford Forum, Dorset though there may be a requirement to visit, and work at, other locations.
