Acquire Recruitment's award-winning client based in Gloucester is currently seeking a Curriculum Coordinator on a permanent basis


The main responsibility of this role is to support the Academic Manager in ensuring the team provides high quality teaching to Learners, whilst supporting lessons as required and leading on IQA FE academic work.


Duties Include:


  • Conduct and document regular onetoone reviews with team members (every 8 weeks), reviewing progress against individual objectives set at Performance Development Review (PDR) meetings.
  • Update Academic Manager on any issues affecting delivery progress against plan.
  • Support the Academic Manager with regular team meetings.
  • Assist the Academic Manager to ensure that team members are continuously updating and using tracking systems to identify any progress issues that may require additional support or guidance.
  • Coordinate the FE team to plan, develop and review schemes of work, lesson plans and resources to ensure they are uptodate and relevant.
  • Monitor and manage FE team adherence to Quality practices.
  • Work with the Academic Manager to ensure common standards are met in terms of learning and assessment, learner behaviour, safeguarding and welfare of learners, E & D practices, Tutor development and Health and Safety.
  • Support the Quality Lead and Academic Manager in the preparation for AO, ESFA and Ofsted inspections and act to resolve any issues identified with the areas of Delivery.
  • Support the induction of, and mentor new team members.
  • Provide support to the Academic Manager in the informal or formal management of staff issues if required.
  • To support the delivery of teaching sessions as required, identifying and assessing the needs of learners, adapting course content and delivery style to meet their individual needs.
  • Providing constructive verbal and written feedback to the apprentice programme reviews.

  • Always promote the business in a positive manner.
  • Promote the equality, diversity and safeguarding of learners, staff and visitors at all times.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the company business plan, selfassessment report and quality improvement plan and processes.
  • Always maintain discipline and cleanliness within the centre.
  • Ensure a high standard of health, safety and welfare of learners, staff and visitors at all times.
  • Ensure own training and development is up to date and relevant to company requirements.
  • Comply and assist with GTAE requirements, audits and inspections.
  • We reserve the right to request employees to assist with reasonable additional duties as and when required, including attendance at careers fairs and similar businessrelated events.

Skills and / or Qualifications:


Essential:

-
Must be a qualified assessor.
-
Must have a Level 3 or above engineering qualification / relevant engineering apprenticeship or engineering sector experience.

  • GCSE grade A-C (49) Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Ideal:

Qualified IQA
  • Level 4 certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice. (Must be willing to work towards this if not)
  • Knowledge and experience of the education sector
  • Experience of academic delivery
  • Management experience and/or qualification

  • Salary: £40,000pa
  • Permanent contract
  • Working hours are 36.25 hrs per week. 8.00am 4.15pm. Finish at 1.15pm on Friday.
