We are hiring

Activity Workers - Adult Social Group (Pub) (Wokingham)

Part time - 3 hrs a month - £12ph

Interviews to take place - w/c 15th April 2024

We need Activity Workers to help us run our new Social Group for adults with additional needs.

Sessions are aimed at adults over 18 years who require little or no support (ratio 1 staff to 8 attendees)

Sessions take place once a month on Thursdays 6.30 to 9.30pm.

(Venue is at Three Frogs Pub, London Road, Wokingham)


Key Responsibilities:


As part of a team:

  • Attend sessions as a positive and engaging role model to provide a fun and engaging session that is inclusive for all attending
  • To work alongside adults with additional needs and their families to ensure the sessions are safe but fun; that reasonable adjustments are made, and that behaviour is appropriate
  • To create and help to run a fun, interactive and sociable session
  • To create accurate & timely records of firstaid, behaviour or safeguarding concerns

Individually:


  • Keep up to date and secure records of each adult as applicable
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and the team regarding any session adjustments needed
  • Regularly review the Risk Assessment & Fire Plan with the Project Manager to ensure it remains up to date and accurate in respect of every attendee
