Altum are delighted to be working with an established, PE backed, multi-site company who are looking to add a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to their rapidly growing team.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for managing the financesfor a group of entities within the Group's portfolio. You will be joining the finance team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.

Job Overview

Support the Senior Finance Manager in the production of reporting for the board, shareholders and internal stakeholders

- liaising with building managers and other department heads, ensuring they are aware of all relevant building events and departmental activities, and completing the month end reporting.

Manage the revenue and operating costs of the Group's UK portfolio
Complete month end accurately within the required timetable, including full P&L and balance sheets for the entities in your portfolio
Understand and provide variance analysis and commentary against historical performance and budget
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet items including the fixed asset register
Business partnering with relevant heads of departments to provide historical cost analysis
Review the work of the AR/AP teams, ensuring correct posting of all purchase invoices relating to the portfolio of buildings, and monitor the debtors and creditors ledgers to ensure they are up to date
Provide ad hoc assistance to the Senior Finance Manager.

Qualifications / Skills

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 1 year PQE
Strong financial background (real estate preferable but not essential)
Prior experience with system enhancements or implementation
Either experience in a similar role in a large organisation or managing experience of large complex audits
Strong accounting technical knowledge to be able to identify issues
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the commercial business
Possess strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external agencies
