Intervl are working with one of the most exciting automotive start-ups in the UK, their aim is to decarbonise the transport & logistics network.

Their zero tailpipe emission solution is helping their clients drastically reduce their carbon footprint.

Over the last year, they have grown dramatically, and are now looking to expand again Now they are looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a creative storyteller who can crank up the volume and make some noise, sharing the great work our client is doing in the sustainability world

What you'll be doing

Leading the Mechanical Design of multiple projects and packages
Producing highquality designs in CAD
Designing products for series manufacture, considering build time, costings, supplier count, tooling budgets, quality, and performance
Expand their own knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
Ensure components are optimised using analytical and functional tools
Have responsibility for technical documentation such as BOM, DFMEA, instructions, and component specifications.

What you'll need

Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques
Experience of delivering mechanical systems from design to manufacture
Excellent CAD skills
Awareness of good engineering practices and analysis methods
A background in automotive, motorsport, transport, aerospace, or electrical systems with high industry standards and certification
A very good understanding of assembly processes, and ability to analyse the manufacturability of parts
