What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Assist the Deputy Head of Fintech in the management of desktop environment and the successful delivery of relevant IT actions, initiatives, and projects.
  • Supervise and report targets and service levels. Improve service effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Improve and develop the reputation of the IT Helpdesk within the business.
  • Acting as the owner of the service desk and to process the BAU change and service desk request from users.
  • Manage daytoday IT checks and operational procedures according to defined standards processes and procedures.
  • Acting as 3rd level engineer troubleshooting and management of issues with the end user environment include laptop, desktop, thin client and mobile estate; Manage and own desktop support escalations at all levels.
  • Keep stakeholders and users informed through open, clear, timely and key communications in relation to key IT systems and controls, as appropriate.
  • Mentor desktop support team members, supervise, measure the team's performance and output to deliver results.
  • On call service for incident management.
  • Budget and invoice management and other works assigned by line manager.
  • Conduct formal and documented business Service Reviews.
  • As required, establish good working protocols with the Head Office teams, as appropriate, to complete relevant tasks;
  • Identify, report and escalate material risk events, including conduct risk events and conflicts of interest, or losses to the Head of Department;
  • Proper use of the Bank's IT systems and data, particularly personal data, in accordance with the IT Security Policy and the Data Protection Policy and any applicable departmental procedures;

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in English (Mandarin preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • Demonstrable ability to lead the team and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Educated to degree level.

Desired but not essential:


  • Experience of supporting banking systems (front office, middle office and back office system)
  • Banking environment working experience preferred
  • Network, storage Management
