ABOUT THE ROLE


As a Head of Product Strategy Planning you will collaborate with the Product Portfolio Director to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.


In this position you will be responsible for shaping the Bentley product portfolio, ensuring differentiation and alignment to the organisational goals and the Bentley customer.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a visionary product and services portfolio strategy, focusing on segment positioning of future vehicles to drive sustained growth and profitability.
  • Utilize advanced market analysis and modelling techniques to assess the portfolio structure and optimize product positions for enhanced contribution and market dominance.
  • Create core product definitions for Bentley products and services on a global scale, considering diverse regions and markets.
  • Be a thought leader in portfolio development, actively considering target customer base, segments, competitor threats/opportunities, and key industry trends.
  • Factor in social, economic, and environmental trends, along with key legislative milestones and government policies, to shape our strategic direction.
  • Lead crossfunctional collaboration, working closely with experts from Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to ensure functional buyin and effective decisionmaking.
  • Prepare compelling cases and decision recommendations, presenting them to the Board with a clear alignment to the organization's strategic goals.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record of developing successful product portfolio strategies that have driven growth and market success.
  • Experience in constructing and utilizing market models to analyse data and derive strategic insights.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience of analysing financial data, assessing ROI, and making data and customer centric driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, written & verbal with demonstrable experience of leading and influencing crossfunctional teams and a broad range of stakeholders up to and including Board level.
