Powder Coater

Responsibilities:


Surface Preparation:
Clean and prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by removing rust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants.
Use appropriate cleaning methods, such as sandblasting, chemical cleaning, or manual abrasion, to achieve a smooth and clean substrate.


Quality Control:
Inspect coated surfaces for imperfections, ensuring the finish meets quality standards and customer requirements.
Perform visual checks and use measuring tools to verify thickness, adhesion, and overall quality of the powder coating.


Equipment Maintenance:
Clean and maintain powder coating equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning.

Colour Changes:
Manage colour changes efficiently, purging and cleaning equipment between different coating jobs to prevent colour contamination.

Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals, operating equipment, and working in the coating area.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of coating processes, including job specifications, material usage, and quality control data.


Collaboration:

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including production and quality control personnel, to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.


Requirements:


Experience:

Previous experience as a Powder Coater or in a similar role is preferred.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Ability to interpret job specifications and work independently.


Physical Stamina:
Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in a physically demanding environment.

Experience:

Industrial Painting: 1 year (preferred)
