_We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Controller to lead, coach and develop our remote sales team to build sustainable and successful relationships with our retailers to develop a culture where we help our independent retailers thrive_


You will be the voice of the retailer and influence other functions to be retailer focused to help deliver for our retailers being a true advocate of Bestway and what we have to offer.

Championing change to drive continuous improvement both within the retail team and the wider business.


Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear plan to deliver regional performance and profitability targets
  • Coach and lead the sales team to deliver their targets through positive and sustainable relationships with their retailers
  • Grow the business through the successful onboarding of new accounts
  • Effectively manage the contract situation of existing and expired accounts
  • Ensure that the brand is optimised and protected by members taking the necessary steps to both advocate and raise awareness of the brands
  • Ensure accounts and members are partnered by the sales team and supported with joint business plans
  • Drive standards and quality of retailer visits from the sales team ensuring that the focus is on commercial business development
  • Build strong retailer engagement, building relationships with key accounts across the region
  • Build relationships across a wide stakeholder group internally and externally representing the voice of the retailer
  • Develop and deliver projects and initiatives in accordance with set timescales ensuring full team ownership, commitment, and rightfirsttime implementation
  • Ensure insight from the sales team is shared with the service centre so it can be utilised to improve the offer and services to our retailers
  • Build and uphold a culture of high support and high challenge to deliver continuous improvements
  • Develop a pipeline of future talent to meet future business needs and growth aspirations

About you

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Awareness of the Symbol sector and wider food retail sector
  • Experience in delivering through others and effective coaching and influencing skills
  • Able to understand detailed commercial and financial information and use the same to inform commercial decisionmaking
  • Able to identify opportunities for growth and development
  • Able to coach, lead, inspire, motivate and engage
  • Able to build exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Great problem solver with outstanding judgment
