Physicist - Scientific Systems - Cambridge
A recent and growing defence company, based in Cambridge, are currently looking for a couple of Physicists to help with the invention and development of cutting-edge technologies used for a wide range of duties that safeguard the security of defence, aerospace,telecommunications and other fields where security is of paramount importance.
You will work alongside a number of experts that include electronics, engineering, design, embedded, systems and other physicists to develop these systems.
As you'll be working along a wide range of systems and technologies, we are open to physicists from a few different fields such as microfluidics, sensors, optics, acoustics, electromagnetics, thermal and other complex fields.
Ideally, you'll know how towork on analytical, numerical and finite element simulations as well as hands on engineering physics to build systems.
Due to the variety of projects and disciplines you will work on, you'll never be bored with your work.The company continue to develop your skills and knowledge, to make sure you are able to work on the most cutting-edge technologies and invent new systems.
As the world moves into using more smart technologies and artificial intelligence devices it is likely that you'll work on Machine Learning and AI technologies, so if you have experience or an interest in these fields, it will be advantageous.
You do not need to have worked in defence, aerospace or telecoms previously, we are open to Physicist from all sectors.
This normally means being British without a criminal record or working in the UK continually for more than five years paying tax.
