We require a Classroom Assistant to join our hard working and happy team. You will provide timetabled classroom support, initially in KS2 (Y3-Y6).


You will ideally have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and have experience of working as a Classroom / Teaching Assistant across all Key Stages of a primary school.


You will need to:
- be flexible, adaptable, punctual, organised and hard working
- be energetic, enthusiastic and resilient
- be committed to achieving the best outcomes for all children
- liaise with teaching staff to deliver classroom support
- liaise with parents and other professionals
- support the learning and development of children across the school
- support individual children with varying learning and physical/medical needs through following individual support and care plans
- follow guidance to track the achievements of small groups or individuals and feedback outcomes in a timely manner
- assist in developing each child's self-esteem and personal and social skills by modelling a positive growth mindset
- deliver interventions, as appropriate, to support the needs of the children in the cohort
- show an understanding of the National Curriculum and/or the Early Years framework.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has experience of working with children, ideally as a Classroom / Teaching Assistant
- ideally has a qualification related to child development
- ideally has experience of working with children with special educational needs, which could include behavioural, social, emotional and/or medical needs
- is flexible and can use their own initiative, understanding a range of duties
- can work independently and as part of a team
- is resilient, hardworking and self-motivated
- is able to motivate and support colleagues
- can adapt to suit the needs of individual learners
- has the ability to manage change well and support children in a variety of situations
