A Primary School in Salford is currently seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support our students in the classroom.


As a Level 2 TA at this school, you will play a vital role in helping our students succeed by providing support to the class teacher and individual students.

You will work closely with teachers and other specialists to plan and deliver lessons that are inclusiveand tailored to the needs of our students.

You will provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students who need extra support, and help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons
  • Supporting individual students with oneonone and small group assistance, particularly those who need extra support
  • Collaborating with other TAs, teachers, and specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Preparing materials and resources for classes and individuals
  • Assisting with classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and providing positive reinforcement
  • Participating in team meetings, staff development, and parentteacher conferences
  • Assisting with the administration of assessments and the recording of student progress
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working as a TA in a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to support students
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods for primary school
  • Patience and understanding of children's needs
  • Willingness to work with children with different needs, including children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
