    Job Title: Safety and Risk Senior Construction Consultant - Senior CDM Advisor

    Reports to: Associate Director – Head of Safety and Risk

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage projects in accordance with instruction from line manager
    • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including Pre-Construction Information, Design Risk Registers, Construction Phase Plans and Health and Safety Files
    • Review project documentation for accuracy and completeness
    • Chair Design Team Meetings at senior project level to ensure design risks are identified
    • Conduct thorough review of project RAMS
    • Develop tailored Risk Assessments for clients
    • Attend site meetings to ensure compliance with safety protocols
    • Perform regular Site Safety Visits and develop reports outlining findings, including development of Corrective Action Trackers
    • Prepare project reports for clients based on scope of services
    • Demonstrate a willingness to develop new skills to support client needs
    • In addition to core duties, may be required to undertake additional work as necessary to meet business needs
    • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams
    • Excellent project management skills, with particular emphasis on effectively identifying client needs
    • Demonstrable experience in developing innovative, client-focused solutions
    • Exceptional listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including correct use of industry terminology and reference to UK health and safety legislation
    • Full UK driving licence

    Personal Qualities:

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing team dynamics and priorities
    • Strong ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and responsibilities
    • Engage in self-reflection to ensure high quality work and accurate delivery

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations
    • Senior level experience as Principal Designer
    • Senior level experience as CDM Advisor
    • Extensive experience in developing and reviewing CDM documentation
    • Senior level experience reviewing project RAMS, focusing on high-risk activities on-site
    • Excellent project management skills, with emphasis on identifying client needs and articulating them within project plans
    • Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments, effectively managing competing needs
    • Experience working in commercial environments, where performance targets are integral to workload
    • Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to personnel at all levels
    • Effective communication through reports and project documentation using correct language, grammar and syntax
    • CMaPS or working towards this professional qualification, ideally with membership of APS
    • Possible membership of IOSH
