An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Administrator to join an established Medical Staffing Team.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated, proactive and one who would thrive in a friendly cohesive team.


This role is pivotal in supporting the Junior Doctor team coordinate Junior Doctor employment arrangements and providing timely resolutions to any issues arising from contractual terms under the 2002 and 2016 Terms & Conditions of Service.

The post holder will work very closely to the HR Advisor, to assist them in the day to day provision of service.

All relevant training will be provided.

The post holder will be based at Regent Point and provide a service across the Newcastle upon Tyne Trust.
Interview Date: 5 May 202- 37 Hours 30 Minutes/Week

You will provide administrative support in relation to junior doctors working in the Trust, primarily through assisting with ensuring rota compliance in relation to in excess of 130 junior doctor rotas, through assisting with production of work schedules, providing support around exception reports, hours monitoring on the 2002 contract (where applicable), and supporting resolution of queries and issues
relating to junior doctors TCS. You will also support with the monthly induction arrangements relating to each junior doctor intake.

You will have the ability to work with and improve on information systems.

With rapidly changing priorities this will require the ability to use your own initiative to manage your own workload along with the scheduling a maintaining of centralised diaries.

You will have excellent keyboard and IT skills in particular, Word and Excel.

  • To support the provision of a comprehensive Human Resource service to the Trust's Medical & Dental Staff and Directorate Managers.
  • To participate in the achievement of corporate objectives.
  • To assist in maintaining strong links with other Central Departments.

  • To assistant the HR Advisor and Senior HR Advisor in providing a high quality, responsive operational HR Service at Trust level to Clinical Directors, Directorate Managers and Medical Staff.
  • To assist with the coordination of Junior Doctor employment arrangements and provide timely response to and resolution of issues arising from contractual terms under the 2002 and 2016 Junior Doctor Terms & Conditions of Service.
  • To assist the HR Advisor in the creation and updating of junior doctor rotas, and the distribution of work schedules to junior doctors in line with national KPIs.
  • To coordinate the interface of the Training Information System (TIS) and ESR for Lead Employer Trust junior doctors.
  • To provide administrative support to the Guardian of Safe Working hours.
  • To efficiently maintain the Doctors Rostering System (versions 3 and 4).
  • To assist the HR Advisor in the coordination of Junior Doctor induction.
  • To build and maintain relationships with key partners, i.e. junior doctors, Medical Education, Senior Medical staff.
  • To fully coordinate and support with junior doctor induction arrangements, including organising creation of IT accounts and creating security badges.
  • To collate relevant data, and provide reports as required.
  • To be flexible with regard to cover on a daytoday basis in the absence of colleagues.
  • To take specific responsibility for particular areas of work including project work.
  • To undertake project work in relation to new Directives from the Department of Health or external bodies.
