We are looking to hire a part time Level 3 qualified preschool practitioner. Level 3 qualification is essential. Term time 38 weeks. We have both full and part time positions available.

We are a preschool in Ashton-on-Ribble looking for someone wanting to develop a career in childcare.

We are a small and friendly team, with a goal of providing a home from home environment for the children.

Our vision is to ensure all children have access to outstanding care and education, delivered in a warm but challenging environment.

Highly experienced practitioners play a key role in the children's progress and development, as our team understand that every child is unique.

Children are met at their individual starting blocks and follow an exciting and engaging curriculum which follows the children's interests and ideas.

We adopt a nurturing approach and therapeutic way of supporting the children behaviour, which in turn develops their emotional health, physical health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the preschool team, supporting colleagues and being responsible for key children
Assist in the daily running of the preschool and delivery of the educational activities
To contribute towards providing a warm, friendly and stimulating environment, offering good quality play, care and education both indoors and outdoors
Ensure high standards of safety, welfare and education to children
To ensure compliance with Safeguarding Policies and Health & Safety
Support, advise, and facilitate excellent partnerships with all parents/carers
Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
Attend weekly staff meetings

Experience & Qualifications
Essential

Early Years level 3 qualification or above
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience of working in an early years setting
Knowledge of the EYFS
Current up to date DBS certificate

Desirable

A current Paediatric First Aid qualification
Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection qualification
